She has Represented Allagadda assembly constituency of Kurnool
district in 1997, 1999 and 2009. She hails from a political family and
contested the 1997 bypolls to Allagadda assembly constituency, which was
vacated by her husband BhoomaNagi Reddy after he was elected MP of
Nandyal. ShobhaNagi Reddy the chairperson of the APSRTC in 2003. Winning
twice on TDP ticket, she later switched over to the PRP and was
returned to the Assembly from Allagadda in 2009 elections. She had held
several key positions in both the TDP and the PRP.
