Balamanemma


A fiery leader known for her boldness and indomitable courage, Balamanemma drew the attention of the state through her highly successful indefinite fast at Kothakota way back in 1990 against the TDP’s machinations leading to annulling of her ‘Cheque Power’ as a the sarpanch.
The courageous Karimnagar lady later had contested for the ZPTC post. During the campaign trail, YSR was highly impressed by her oratorical skills and took her under his wings. She later went on to become the DCC chief and also became a member of the Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University.

Bandaru Mohan Reddy

 
He is a native of Lingojiguda in Choutuppal mandal of Nalgonda district. Bandaru Mohan Reddy, whose political journey began as the sarpanch of Torrur in Hayathnagar mandal of RR district (1971-1976), has worked as the chairperson of the Hyderabad Agricultural Market Committee from 1984 to 1987. After joining  the YSR CP, he has been given the responsibility as the party coordinator for  Mahboobnagar and Nalgonda Districts

Chadipiralla Narayana Reddy


A lawyer by education, Narayana Reddy had to enter politics in Jammalamadugu constituency in tragic circumstances when his father and uncles were brutally done to death at Shadnagar. He was later elected the chairperson of the DCCB in 1996. He had contested the elections for the legislative assembly twice – once in 1994 and then in 1999 – and lost narrowly. Later, he had worked for the success of his brother Adinarayana Reddy, who had fought elections. He was elected an MLC in 2011. He is now the party observer for the Anantapur district unit.

A widely experienced man he held various posts in A man of vast experience, Raju has been in politics for over five decades and has served both the party and the people in various capacities. Between 1980 and 1978, he was the sarpanch of his native village of Pippara in West Godavari district.  In 1978, he became an MLA for the first time. He was the chairperson of the State Agricultural and Industrial Development Council under Marri Chenna Reddy, a tourism minister in Bhavanam Venkatrami Reddy ministry and an excise minister under Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy. He was the DCC chief during 1985-89 and again during 2004-2008. He had also served as the PCC general secretary and was the president of the Palakol Cooperative Sugar Factory in Palakcole After the sad demise of YSR, he moved to the YSR Congress Party and is currently party East Godavari affairs incharge and the coordinator of the party’s disciplinary committee.

Janga Krishna Murthy


A trade union leader, who honed his skills as the president of TNTUC in Durga Cement Factory way back in 1984, he became the sarpanch of Gmalapadu in 1988. He was district president of the TNTUC and was the leader of the Andhra Cements Company trade union. Later, he became active in the Telugu Desam and was the director of AP Spin Fed. In 1988, he left the TDP and joined the Congress to become the state BC cell secretary. Two time- MLA from Gurajala (1999 and 2004), he was TTD board member during 2004-08.

Jinnareddy Srinivasa Reddy




Konda Raghava Reddy


A native of Antaipalli in Shameerpet mandal, Medchal segment, Reddy began as a student leader. From 1989 to 1994, he was a non- authority member of the RTA. In 1994, he had unsuccessfully contested against Indra Reddy on BSP ticket from Chevella constituency. Later, he had joined the Congress and undertook a 17-day-long padayatra from Chilkur Balaji Temple to Tirupati to mark YSR’s assent to power. He had also worked as the Rangareddy district steering committee member. He is now looking after the YSR CP affairs in Medak district.

Kotam Reddy Sridhar Reddy


A popular student leader, he was the president of VR College students union in 1985 and 1986. As a student leader, he had gone on a 14-day-long fast to seek redressal of students’ grievances. He was also a member of SV University senate member in 1986 and 1987. He was the general secretary of the Youth Congress in 1987 and 1988 and then PCC member. He had actively taken part in the Anti-Alamatti agitation and anti-liquor agitation. He was jailed for 22 days for taking part in the anti-power tariff agitation.
