A native of Antaipalli in Shameerpet mandal, Medchal segment, Reddy
began as a student leader. From 1989 to 1994, he was a non- authority
member of the RTA. In 1994, he had unsuccessfully contested against
Indra Reddy on BSP ticket from Chevella constituency. Later, he had
joined the Congress and undertook a 17-day-long padayatra from Chilkur
Balaji Temple to Tirupati to mark YSR’s assent to power. He had also
worked as the Rangareddy district steering committee member. He is now
looking after the YSR CP affairs in Medak district.
