A
lawyer by education, Narayana Reddy had to enter politics in
Jammalamadugu constituency in tragic circumstances when his father and
uncles were brutally done to death at Shadnagar. He was later elected
the chairperson of the DCCB in 1996. He had contested the elections for
the legislative assembly twice – once in 1994 and then in 1999 – and
lost narrowly. Later, he had worked for the success of his brother
Adinarayana Reddy, who had fought elections. He was elected an MLC in
2011. He is now the party observer for the Anantapur district unit.
