He
is the first ever MLC to be elected on the YSR CP ticket. A
post-graduate, he has long political experience. He was the
vice-president of the PCC BC Cell. From 2000 to 2005, he was the
sarpanch of Pulapalli in Palkolemandal. He was elected ZPTC member in
2005 and was elected West Godavari zillaparishad chairperson in 2009. He
had joined the YSR CP in the early stages itself and had notched up a
record victory with maximum votes in the MLC polls.
