Balamanemma

A fiery leader from Mahaboobnagarknown for her boldness and indomitable courage, Balamanemma drew the attention of the state through her highly successful indefinite fast at Kothakotaway back in 1990 against the TDP’s machinations leading to annulling of her ‘Cheque Power’ as a the sarpanch. Later she had contested for the ZPTC post. During the campaign trail, YSR was highly impressed by her oratorical skills and took her under his wings. She later went on to become the DCC chief and also became a member of the Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University .
