A
well-known Vijayawda-based lawyer and politician, Gowtham Reddy has
been in politics right from his student days and was associated with the
CPI. He was elected leader of Nagajuna University Students Union and
chairman of SRR and CRR College. A four-time corporator of Vijayawada
Municipal Corporation and a standing committee chairperson, he runs
several NGOs and takes up service activities. On the advice of late YSR,
he had left the CPI and joined the Congress. Later, he walked out of
the Congress and joined the YSRCP. Currently, he is incharge of the
YSRCP, Kurnool district unit.ct.
