A
native of Kirlampudi in East Godavari district, he was a ZPTC member
and TDP floor leader in 2006. Later, he joined the PRP and had
unsuccessfully contested as an MLA from Prathipadu. Then, he gone back
to the TDP, but soon became disillusioned with it and joined the YSRCP.
