He
is the ad hoc convener of the Anantapur district unit of the YSR CP. A
native of Tadipatri, he has been politically active since 1991 and was a
ZPTC member from the Tadipatri rural mandal. During the 2009 elections,
he unsuccessfully fought for the Tadipatri Assembly constituency on PRP
ticket. Before becoming the district convener of the party, he was the
PRP district convener.
