in politics since 1972, Kalattur Narayana Swamy has always been a
staunch follower of YSR. A graduate from the SV Arts College, he was
elected sarpanch of Annuru in Karvetinagaram mandal in 1981. Within a
month, he was elected president of the Samiti with a staggering
majority. Hugely popular in Karvetinagaram area, he was elected MLA from
there in 2004. Since YSR’s demise, he has working for the YSR Congress
Party in Chittoor district and has been instrumental in joining several
key Congress leaders into the Satyavedu unit of the YSR Congress Party.
